We are looking for 7 committed volunteers for a weeklong trip to Aasgard Pass. You will need to carry (almost) all of your own gear to be self-sufficient for 6 days and 5 nights. The work involves carrying large rocks to build big, permanent cairns on the trail near Aasgard Pass. This will prevent braided trails from forming and damaging fragile alpine meadows. LMA and the USFS will provide tools, leadership, permits and will carry up to 5 pounds of personal gear per person up Aasgard pass to the campsite. The plan is to spend a day hiking in, 2 days working, rest for a day, work 2 more days, then hike out. This will be a demanding trip, and there will not be opportunities for technical climbing.
